You owe yourself the love that

but, taking the time for you is elusive

But you have good intentions!! 
You scheduled time to get to the gym,
You signed up to try a yoga class,
You set up a brunch with friends.
Then, life happens.

The kid's homework assignment eats up your gym time.
The late start on dinner makes you too late for your yoga class.
The sick kids or emergency home repair have you backing out of brunch.


But, don't they tell us to put our oxygen mask on first before helping others?
  And just like in life, don't we tune out the reminders we "already know"? 


Don't wait until a real-life changing wake-up call happens
to notice the toll of not taking care of your self.



Signs it is time for some self care.......

You are there - but not really there......... When you have to repeatedly look up and say "What did you say?" that's a sign that you are there but not there. 

You are working hard - and you are totally exhausted.......Working harder is not always smarter.  You are probably really good at taking care of one last email, or working through lunch, or getting in early to prep for a meeting,...  but I think we often forget to get that time back somehow.  Easier said than done, but really no one ever did say I wish I spent more time in the office.

You hardly ever tell yourself "I Love ME"..... Self love can be one of our toughest challenges.  Did you see the YouTube video of the luttle girl lookinig at herself in the mirror speaking a montage of self affirmations.  How often does your day start that way?  Let's take every opportunity to promote 
positive feelings which in turn boosts confidence and self-esteem.

You are stressed about everything.....
Constant stress, overloaded schedules, worry and anxiety do absolutely nothing for us.  Small doses of stress are signals, but when stress has become a lifestyle, it is can have an adverse effect on you physically and mentally.  

You wonder what you even accomplish day to day....  Life is full of responsibilities, but you deserve to have yourself as one of those.  Living a life with intent and purpose puts everything in a different perspective. 

You just want to have some fun because you deserve it!
Retreats are a perfect opportunity for self care......
Spend time in a different space.....Sometimes you just need a new perspective.  When we can get away from our everyday rooutine and not see the to-do lists, the laundry and the empty refrigerator, you can observe yourself as a person - YOUR person.

Reconnect with Mother Nature.....   Spending time in the beauty of nature can be heaing and inspiring.  The ability to be still while taking in the beauty of nature is food for the soul.

Be with like-minded women - When we are in environments that support connection and support, magic can happen.  Somehow people end up where they are supposed to and you never know how you might be just the person someone needs to meet, or you might meet that person who will be a forever friend

Put YOU first.....  The simple act of saying "I am doing this for ME" is very powerful.  When you see yourself as important and you love yourself enough to do what you need to do to be the person you WANT TO be - that is Self Care.
